The Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the NAS of Ukraine carries out educational activities at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. All educational programs of the Institute have undergone the required licensing and accreditation procedures, ensuring the high quality of training for research degree candidates.
License for Educational Activities
The Institute holds a license from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to provide educational activities at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in the following specialties:
- 113 — Applied Mathematics (field of knowledge 11 “Mathematics and Statistics”)
- 122 — Computer Science (field of knowledge 12 “Information Technologies”)
The license authorizes the training of Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctors of Science in the respective specialties.
Accreditation of Educational and Scientific Programs
The Institute’s educational and scientific programs undergo accreditation by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA). Accreditation confirms that programs meet national quality standards and guarantees the recognition of graduates’ degrees.
Accredited Educational and Scientific Programs:
“Applied Mathematics” (specialty 113) The program trains specialists in mathematical modeling, computational mathematics, and the application of mathematical methods to solve practical problems in telecommunications, environmental science, and engineering. Graduates are awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mathematics.
“Computer Science” (specialty 122) The program focuses on training researchers in information technologies, computer modeling, artificial intelligence, information security, and data processing. Graduates are awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science.

Educational and scientific programs are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect current scientific advancements, labor market needs, and stakeholder recommendations. Leading researchers, employers, and members of the academic community are involved in program development.

Recognition and Status
The Institute is a structural unit of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — the country’s highest scientific organization. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees awarded by the Institute are recognized nationally and internationally in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” and international agreements on the recognition of qualifications.
